| # 126 INSH CROSS | ||||
|
This simple cross was found in the church-yard of the tiny village of Insh, overlooking the River Spey and the Insh Marshes, a wildlife refuge. The raised center of the cross symbolizes the motionless mover, God, with everything revolving around Him. The outer circle represents eternal life, the cosmos, or heaven. The four other raised circles are thought to symbolize the wounds of Christ. |
