| # 146 DRUMMOND CROSS | ||||
|
This design was taken from a cross found beside the ancient ruins of the church in the little village of Muthill. The square tower and a double row of wonderful arches are all that remain of the old church. The cross has no name, but as the Drummond Castle with its magnificent formal gardens is just a short distance up the road, we decided to call our design the Drumond Cross. The design is typically Celtic with panels of interlaced knotwork - a symbol of everlasting life. |
