Dustin Lyon invites all to step back into a time when life offered a more genteel nature to those living it. His reflections of the past reveal a world of tranquility and urbane calm. The vast skies of the untamed west offer a serenity found only in one of Lyon's landscapes depicting native life. A quiet walk through the town square or a short trolley ride home are part of the excursions Dustin may take you on in one of his historical early American street scenes.

A native of Idaho, Dustin Lyon recently relocated to Arizona to continue in his artistic endeavors. Raised on a farm near Firth, Idaho, Lyon's early life was filled with wildlife, horses, and a land rich in history. It was here that Dustin developed a love of nature and the beauty of the changing landscapes of all seasons. Dustin paints these subjects against backdrops from specific locales. Dustin received an education in art from Rick's College and Boise State University. He has been a professional artist for twenty-one years.

Dustin has been bestowed with many honors and awards as an artist. He has shown successfully with the Scottsdale Celebration of Fine Art for ten years. He was the featured artist at the 1998 Nebraskaland Days Art Show in North Platte, Nebraska. He was a Gold Medal Artist for the May Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona for 1999 and also 2000. His work hangs in many private and public collections and he has recently completed two fourteen foot by fourteen foot murals for a major hotel in Scotts Valley, California.

Mr. Lyon paints in both oil and gouache.
